Rather than following traditional approaches, this innovative system allows the platter to rotate while simultaneously moving laterally, enabling the tonearm to maintain optimal tangency with minimal angular deviation as it traces the record grooves.

This concept bears resemblance to tangential tonearm designs, yet with a fascinating twist. While conventional tangential systems move the tonearm radially from outer to inner grooves as the stationary platter spins, Soulution's ingenious 787 reverses this paradigm entirely. Here, the tonearm remains stationary at its pickup point while the platter gradually travels toward it during playback.
