frank Home Theater

On March 11, LG Electronics held a press event at its Seoul Tech Park in Korea to announce that its new lineup of OLED and QNED TVs will begin rolling out in Korea and global markets starting March 18. The new models emphasize "user-friendly AI and enhanced picture quality." LG's TV lineup for this year includes:

OLED Series: Flagship OLED Evo models (M5 / G5 / C5) and the standard OLED (B5)

QNED Series: Now featuring a new 100-inch model, with sizes ranging from 40 to 100 inches (premium LCD panels)

LG Electronics states that its 2025 OLED evo models have optimized display algorithms and OLED organic compound structures, delivering images "three times brighter than conventional OLED TVs." The newly upgraded Alpha 11 processor enhances picture quality by analyzing pixel-level details and performing color correction.

According to LG, these new models feature the industry's first "Perfect Black" OLED displays certified by UL Solutions, confirming their ability to maintain consistent black levels regardless of screen brightness or ambient lighting conditions.

 Key Upgrade Highlights

AI Interaction
The remote control now features a dedicated AI button that integrates voice control (supporting 83 languages), personalized content recommendations, and intelligent picture/sound optimization features. The AI Home manager analyzes viewing habits to suggest content, while AI Search leverages large language models for better intent understanding. LG has also included an AI troubleshooting assistant that can automatically configure from among 160 million picture modes and 40 million sound profiles.

Picture Quality Breakthroughs

OLED Evo models utilize a new organic compound layering structure and enhanced display algorithms, delivering a 3x improvement in peak brightness. The Alpha 11 AI processor enables pixel-level picture enhancement with 30% improved dynamic contrast. QNED TVs feature a dynamic Quantum Dot color solution that expands color gamut coverage to 98% of the DCI-P3 standard.

 Gaming Performance

These are the world's first OLED TVs supporting 4K 165Hz variable refresh rate (VRR). They're compatible with both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technologies, with input lag as low as 5ms. A new "Game Portal" hub integrates platforms like Xbox, PlayStation, and GeForce NOW in one convenient center.

 Ecosystem Expansion

Wireless audio solutions (compatible with Dolby Atmos) have been extended from the OLED Evo M5 to the QNED Evo series. LG promises to provide 5 years of webOS system updates, with over 20 streaming applications pre-installed including Apple TV+, Disney+, and Netflix.
